Sandy Chung

Sandy Chung has had an extensive career in the field of pediatrics and healthcare management. Their recent work includes serving as the Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, where they have been actively involved since 2021. Sandy has also been a Board Member at Hello Pediatrics, a telehealthcare organization, since 2022. Prior to these roles, Sandy served as the CEO of Trusted Doctors, LLC and Health Connect IPA, where they played a key role in building and managing independent physician networks. Sandy also has a strong presence in professional organizations, including the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, where they served as Past President, President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, and Chair of the HIT Committee. Sandy has also contributed as a Medical Director at the Virginia Mental Health Access Program and Children's National Hospital. Sandy's career began at Fairfax Pediatric Associates, PC, where they held the position of President and provided comprehensive healthcare to children in Northern Virginia. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member at the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, focusing on advancing school readiness.

Sandy Chung's education history includes a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia (1989-1993), an MD in Medicine from the University of Virginia (1993-1997), and an MSHA in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University (2003-2005). Sandy also attended Hermitage High School from 1985 to 1989. In addition to these degrees, Sandy has obtained certifications as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
