Maria Juarez Stouffer has a diverse work experience in the field of children's services. Maria started their career in 1992 as a Child Protection Team Coordinator at Broward County Board of County Commissioners and held this role till 2002. Maria then joined Children's Services Council of Broward County where they started as a Program Services Specialist from 2002 to 2005. Maria was then promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Program Services, responsible for contract management and programmatic evaluation of over 60 NPOs and entities. In 2015, Maria became the Director of Program Services and later was promoted to the position of Chief Programs Officer in 2016. As Chief Programs Officer, Maria oversaw various programs and bid solicitations related to children services.

Maria Juarez Stouffer holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, which they obtained in 1999. Prior to this, they also earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the same university in 1992. Maria'sundergraduate studies include a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida State University, which they completed from 1984 to 1988. Maria Juarez Stouffer is additionally a Licensed Mental Health Counselor certified by the Florida Department of Health.
