Brooks Woody serves as a School-based Clinician I and Clinical Social Work Intern at ChildSavers since August 2023, where responsibilities include assessing and diagnosing elementary and middle school clients while implementing evidence-based mental health interventions. Additionally, Brooks holds the position of Site Coordinator for the Volunteer Tax Assistance Program at Empowering Neighbors since January 2023, managing operations to ensure quality and ethical service delivery. Brooks is pursuing graduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and previously interned at Greater Richmond Fit4Kids, facilitating health and leadership programs. Prior experience includes teaching English and various subjects at Fusion Academy, along with internships focused on diabetes education and community engagement. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services from Clemson University.

ChildSavers (formerly Memorial Child Guidance Clinic) is a source of hope for Central Virginia’s children. Founded in 1924, ChildSavers works to ensure that all children are safe, healthy, happy, and ready to learn. We provide trauma response, mental health counseling and early childhood development services so that children have a chance to reach their potential and thrive. ChildSavers is a community-supported 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. ChildSavers is licensed by the State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Child and Family Services.
