Nicolas Vandenberghe

Co-Founder & Co-CEO at Chili Piper

Nicolas Vandenberghe is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Chili Piper. Nicolas was previously a Guest Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business, where they taught innovators to formulate, develop, and commercialize their ideas. Nicolas was also the CIO (Chief Information Officer) at LightSquared, where they led the design and deployment of all IT systems. In this role, they were responsible for re-architecting Business Support Systems and issuing a new RFP, which resulted in $85M in savings. Nicolas also pioneered BSS deployment in the cloud instead of in-house, which resulted in a $11M CAPEX reduction and increased business flexibility. Additionally, they deployed company-wide Oracle ERP on time and on budget at Amazon AWS, and led the migration from on-premises Microsoft environment to Google Apps. Nicolas was able to reduce the operating budget by 40% while improving internal and external user satisfaction. Prior to LightSquared, Nicolas was the Vice President of Sales at Gotham Ventures.

Nicolas Vandenberghe has a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business with a focus in Entrepreneurship. Nicolas also has a BS in Mathematics from the Ecole Polytechnique. Nicolas has taken classes in computer science, neural networks, cognitive psychology, and sociology.
