Paula Farrugia

Paula Farrugia has a strong background in frontend development, with experience in various companies and projects. Paula started their career as a Front End Developer at GFI Software, where they worked closely with UI designers and created prototypes for new ideas and designs. Paula then joined Uniblue Systems Ltd as a Front End Developer, where they developed email templates for marketing campaigns and collaborated with product management and UX teams.

Paula also worked as a Front End Developer at Ellp, a startup founded by Uniblue Systems Ltd, where they automated repetitive tasks using Node. After that, they joined Steves&Co. as a Lead Web Developer, where they replicated high-fidelity mock-ups into responsive websites and landing pages, conducted maintenance and bug fixing, and set up and maintained e-commerce applications.

Paula further took on the role of a Front End Developer at EBO.ai, where they developed a landing page and a custom WordPress theme for a responsive static website. Paula integrated the company website with MailChimp for subscription functionality. At Showshappening, Paula worked as the sole developer, revamping the entire product using HTML, SCSS, and JS. Paula also assisted with integrating their front-end code with the existing back-end solution.

Paula continued to expand their expertise as a Front End Developer at ShopShape, a startup founded by ShowsHappening Ltd. Here, they were responsible for building the entire product from scratch and played a crucial role in the initial project setup.

Most recently, Paula joined Jo Nara Opticians as a Front End Developer, focusing on developing a client management system using React.js, Next.js, Apollo Client, and GraphQL API.

Paula's most recent position is as an Engineering Team Lead at Chiliz, where they lead a team of engineers and contributes to the development of the company's projects.

Paula Farrugia completed their education in the field of Information Technology and Networking. In 2011, they attended NCC Education where they received an International Diploma in Computer Studies. Paula then went on to study at Middlesex University from 2012 to 2014, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology and Networking.
