Melissa Simpson (Slaughter)

Melissa Simpson (Slaughter) is a seasoned professional in program management and risk management, currently serving in a pivotal role at Chime since March 2021, focusing on digital banking, wholesale banking, and capital markets. Previously, Melissa held a position at Stripe, managing large risk programs from October 2019 to November 2020. An extensive tenure at Wells Fargo from January 2012 to October 2019 included roles as Vice President in the Strategic Execution and Operations Group and in Foreign Exchange and Capital Markets Risk. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor and Internal Management Consultant for the U.S. Department of Treasury Department from June 2009 to October 2012. Melissa holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Sarah Lawrence College.
