Philip Denkabe

Philip Denkabe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Currently serving as the Head of AI/ML/Data Science at Chime since November 2023, Denkabe also contributes as a Reader at the University of California, Berkeley's School of Information & Data Science from May 2022. Previously, leadership roles included Head of Data Science at 8x8 from December 2019 to August 2023 and Sr. Director of AI/ML at Visa from December 2016 to December 2019. Denkabe began a career in data science as a Data Scientist at Vendavo from April 2014 to December 2019. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in AI/ML from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Econometrics from New York University.
