Joni Dorsett

Joni Dorsett, PHR, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Joni served as the Director of Human Resources/Compliance at Chimes District of Columbia since 2015. Prior to that, they were the Director of Human Resources at Horseshoe Casino where they played a key role in the hiring and onboarding of 2,300 new hires. Joni also worked as the HR Director at Gateway Advisory Services, LLC where they provided strategic guidance and support to multiple business units. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Workforce Management at Encore Healthcare, LLC. Joni has a background in healthcare as well, having held various roles at FutureCare Health & Mgmt, including Corporate Director of Recruitment and HR Regional Director. Joni began their career as a Staff Therapist at Calvert Memorial Hospital and later became the Director of the Rehabilitation Department at Millennium Health. Overall, Joni Dorsett has amassed a wealth of experience in various HR roles across different industries.

Joni Dorsett, PHR, SHRM-CP, holds an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Anne Arundel Community College. Joni also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition, they have earned several certifications, including the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM.
