Shankar Ramaswamy has an extensive work experience in risk management and compliance, starting as a Staff Accountant at Ernst & Young in 1991. Shankar then held various positions at ABN AMRO Bank NV Dubai, Al Mal Capital, Emirates Investment Bank pjsc, and China Construction Bank, culminating in roles such as Head of Risk Management. Their work included overseeing risk, compliance, and operational functions across different organizations.

Shankar Ramaswamy holds multiple certifications and degrees in the field of finance and accounting. Shankar is a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute in the USA, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association in the USA. Shankar also holds the ACA degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Grad CMA degree from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India, and a CIA certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors in the USA. Additionally, they completed their BCOM HONS degree from the University of Delhi in India.
