Brandon Yates

Brandon Yates is an experienced television and radio show host currently working at CGTN since October 2020, where Brandon scripts and hosts the weekly English sports-themed podcast 'Sideline Story.' From January 2013 to January 2023, Brandon served as a freelance TV presenter and producer specializing in sports content for SABC and also presented for SABC 3's Expresso Show. Additional experience includes working as a Community Manager for Ginkgo Agency, where Brandon sourced daily positive stories for publication, and a Junior Assistant Cruise Director for Princess Cruises, organizing and presenting events on board a cruise liner. Prior roles also include Creative Content Writer & In-House Magazine Editor at Lewis Group Ltd, where Brandon produced training materials, and as a Radio Presenter, Content Producer, and Script Writer at HashtagRadio. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and History from Rhodes University and a Certificate in Feature Writing from SAWC.
