Bo Hu

Bo Hu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Bo started their career in 2003 as a Project Intern at Danfoss and then worked as an RD at Siemens from 2004 to 2007. Bo joined Nokia Siemens Networks in 2007 and served as an RD Engineer and later as an IMS System/Solution Architect until 2010.

In 2010, Bo Hu began their long tenure with China Unicom, where they held multiple positions. Bo started as a Product and Service Architect, Project Manager, and Standard Delegate, responsible for developing strategies and roadmaps for 5G consumer and IIoT telecom products and services. Bo also managed research projects in the mobile internet area and acted as a liaison with various business partners and government sectors. Bo Hu's work at China Unicom lasted until March 2021, during which they also held the position of Manager of 5G Strategy Research.

During their time at China Unicom, Bo Hu took on additional responsibilities outside the company. Bo served as a Standard Delegate for GSMA (from 2012 to 2021), where they focused on eSIM, SG, IG, and RSP standards. Bo also worked as a China Unicom Delegate for CCSA (from 2010 to 2021) and as a Standard Delegate for W3C (from 2012 to 2016).

Bo Hu's involvement in standardization efforts extended beyond their work at China Unicom. Bo served as the Vice Chair of CD Working Group at Open Mobile Alliance, promoting telecommunications and mobile internet standards. Bo participated in standard developing organizations and chaired working group meetings. Their role at Open Mobile Alliance lasted from 2011 to 2015, and they also held the position of China Unicom Delegate and CD-OpenCMAPI Vice Chair from 2011 to 2013.

Bo Hu holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, which was obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, Bo Hu completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Energy from Beijing University of Technology from 1998 to 2002. Bo Hu also attended Beijing 31 High School, although specific dates and degrees are not provided. In addition to their formal education, Bo Hu has obtained certifications as a MIIT Bidding Tender Assessment Specialist from MIIT in 2014 and as a CCSA Standard Delegate from CCSA in 2011.
