Betty Yu is currently an Editorial Staff member at Washington Law Review and a Law Student Volunteer at CISC, while completing a Doctor of Law (JD) at the University of Washington School of Law, expected in June 2026. Previous experience includes a Summer Associate role at Seed IP Law Group and various positions at Chewy and Amazon, where Betty held roles such as Category Manager and Category Vendor Manager, respectively. Additional internships span a range of legal and legislative environments, including work at Saper Law Offices, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the United States Embassy in Beijing, where valuable contributions were made to litigation, legislative research, and international commerce. Betty Yu holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Communication Studies with a minor in Legal Studies from Northwestern University, completed in 2020.

CISC helps immigrants throughout King County achieve success in their new community by providing information, referral, advocacy, social, and support services. Our team of more than 120 bilingual staff serves the Chinese immigrant community and immigrants from Eastern Europe, Latin America, and other parts of Asia. We serve the entire family with our early childhood education, youth development, family support, senior & disabled adult services, and health care access programs at our office locations in Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, and Redmond and numerous outreach sites such as community and senior centers.
