Monte started their career at Nordstrom in 1982, where they worked as a National Financial Planner, Shoe Buyer, and Merchandise Manager. During this time, they implemented a replenishment system and created fashion-forward assortments to improve store performance. In 2012, they joined Jeffrey Campbell Shoes as a Key Account Manager, where they successfully doubled the Nordstrom business and expanded to Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus. In 2014, they worked as a Freelance Consultant, providing expert consultation to fashion executives. Currently, they are the Vice President of Merchandising at Chinese Laundry, where they oversee the design team and ensures product balance, competitive pricing, and alignment with industry trends.
