Joey Mak is the current Director at Chinese Mutual Aid Association. Joey Mak has a long and accomplished history in various businesses and organizations. Mak started as a Public Affairs Representative for Resolute then became the Finance Director for Citizens for Lisa Hernandez. Mak later became Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Office of Governor Pat Quinn, State of Illinois. Afterwards, Mak became Deputy Director for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology for Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Mak also held the position of Director of Economic Development & Innovation for University of Illinois System. Mak’s most recent position before Chinese Mutual Aid Association was Vice President, Programs for Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
Joey Mak studied anthropology as an undergraduate at Loyola University Chicago before going on to earn their MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
