P.geo Omar Derder

Omar Derder, P.Geo, currently serves as a Wellsite Geologist at Chinook Consulting Services since January 2018, where responsibilities include collecting and analyzing well samples, advising site personnel, and generating reports for headquarters. Prior experience includes roles as a Petrophysicist at NeoSies Technology Group, focusing on log quality assurance and software modeling; Graduate Student at the University of Calgary, conducting advanced well-log data research; and various positions at Jowfe Oil Technology, where collaboration with engineers and geoscientists aimed to maximize production from reserves. Additional roles include instructing geology at the College of Engineering Technology and conducting research at the University of the Western Cape. Educational credentials include an M.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Calgary and an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of the Western Cape, complemented by earlier degrees in Economic and Political Science and Geology from Libyan institutions.
