Katelyn Fair is a Simulation Engineer at Chip Ganassi Racing Teams since January 2022, bringing valuable experience from prior roles in academia and the automotive industry. Katelyn served as a Teaching Assistant in Thermodynamics and Vehicle Dynamics at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where responsibilities included evaluating assignments, creating problems and solutions, and leading recitation classes to support student learning. Previous internships included roles as an Aerodynamics Intern at Pratt Miller and a Manufacturing Engineer Body Intern at General Motors, where Katelyn developed and optimized systems. Early experience at Fair Racing Development involved comprehensive involvement in racing mechanics, design, and fabrication for amateur racing teams. Katelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Motorsports Engineering from Indiana University Indianapolis.
