Klemen Bratec has held various roles in the software engineering industry throughout their career. Klemen began their journey in 2008 as a Student at GESŠ Trbovlje (GimTeam), where they were involved in building servers from scratch, setting up networking, managing workstations and users, and developing web apps for internal usage. In 2010, they became a Microsoft Student Partner and a Web Developer at Šola prihodnosti Maribor. In 2013, they took on a Junior System Administrator role at Alarix d.o.o. In 2015, they returned to Chipolo as an IT/DevOps Engineer and Web Developer, where they were responsible for infrastructure deployment for the new version of the Chipolo web services, implementing continuous integration practices, and developing the new mobile API. In 2016, they were promoted to VP of Software Engineering, leading software engineering teams covering mobile apps, web applications, online store, server (backend) infrastructure, quality assurance and customer support. Klemen also took on the role of VP of Web Development, leading a team of web developers working on Chipolo's infrastructure, backend services, web page, and online shop. Finally, they were a Lead Platform Developer, building a modern infrastructure and continuous integration pipelines with Kubernetes on Google Cloud (GKE), and developing the Chipolo Platform and Chipolo services.
Klemen Bratec attended OŠ Ivana Cankarja Trbovlje from 2000 to 2008, GESŠ Trbovlje from 2008 to 2012, and the University of Ljubljana from 2012 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
