Clayton Cross has a diverse work experience in the fields of cybersecurity and military operations. Clayton has held various leadership positions throughout their career, working with different organizations and agencies.

From 2017 to the present, Clayton Cross has been working at Chiron Technology Services, Inc. as the Assessments and Evaluations Program Lead. In this role, they have developed an evaluation program conforming to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. Clayton has reviewed over 2000 tasks and mapped them to current course offerings. Clayton has also created a qualification and certification framework to evaluate student competency.

In 2014, Clayton Cross worked as the Deputy Director and Technical Lead at the United States Department of Defense. Clayton managed teams of technical engineers and coordinated the development and testing of special-source collection and exploitation systems.

From 2011 to 2014, Clayton Cross served as the Flight Commander at the 346th Test Squadron. Clayton led a team in operational test and evaluation planning, execution, and reporting on network warfare operational systems.

In 2010, Clayton Cross worked as the Deputy Chief of Standards and Evaluations at the 67th Network Warfare Group. Clayton synchronized standardization and evaluation criteria for offensive cyberspace operations.

Clayton Cross began their career in 2007 as an Interactive Operator in the United States Department of Defense. Clayton conducted computer network exploitation operations and led multiple teams in counter cyber intelligence operations.

Overall, Clayton Cross has a strong background in cybersecurity, military operations, and leadership roles.

Clayton Cross completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University between 2001 and 2006. Clayton then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Military Art and Science degree in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies from Air University from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Ethical Penetration Tester in November 2009 from the Information Assurance Certification Review Board.
