Helen Cairney

Helen Cairney has over two decades of experience in analytical roles, currently serving as an NPD Analyst/Data Analyst at Chivas Brothers since February 2001, where responsibilities include routine analysis and project work related to material testing and new product development within an accredited laboratory. Prior to this, Helen held a temporary position as a Scientist at ESW Scientific, focusing on soil and water sample analysis, and briefly worked as a Temporary Scientist at the Scotch Whisky Research Institute, gaining valuable experience in GC-MS and GC-Olfactory techniques. Helen holds a Diploma in Distilling from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, an MSc with Distinction in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry from Glasgow Caledonian University, and an Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of the West of Scotland.
