Awais Nemat

Awais Nemat has over 20 years of experience in various technical and leadership roles in the networking industry. Awais is currently the Founder and CEO of Chkk, a company that aims to improve uptime for k8s. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon Web Services as Director/GM of AWS Infrastructure Networking, leading the development of their network devices and software control systems. Nemat was also the Founder, CEO, and Board Member of PLUMgrid, where they created eBPF, a foundational technology within Linux Kernel. Awais served as Vice President of the Enterprise Business Unit at Marvell, where they led their networking silicon and software business, managed teams across engineering delivery, architecture definition, and product marketing. Nemat also founded and served as CEO of D5 Networks, and worked at Cisco Systems as a Technical Leader. Earlier in their career, they worked as a System Design Engineer at Data Communications and Controls and as a Design Engineer at Mentor Graphics.

Awais Nemat obtained their Bachelor's Degree in EECS from NED University of Engineering and Technology in the years between 1990 and 1994. Awais also took graduate courses in Networking, Logic Design, VLSI, and Computing from Stanford University from 1998 to 2000.
