Mark Masters has an extensive work experience in the field of emergency management and fire prevention. Mark currently serves as the Executive Chairman & CEO at Chloeta since April 2022 and was previously the Chief Executive Officer from October 2008 to April 2022.
Prior to that, Mark held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Tribal Emergency Management Association from June 2014 to November 2017. Mark also served as a Contributing Editor at the International Association of Wildland Fire from September 2011 to November 2017.
Mark has teaching experience as well. Mark worked as an Instructor at the Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center from March 2010 to May 2015 and as an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University from November 2009 to November 2013.
In the earlier years of their career, Mark gained valuable experience in various positions related to fire prevention and management. Mark worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as an Intelligence/Training staff member from May 2007 to August 2009 and as a Fire Prevention & Mitigation staff member from March 2007 to May 2007. Mark also served as an Assistant Engine Captain at the National Park Service from January 2006 to March 2007.
Before that, Mark worked as an AD/EFF Wildland Firefighter at the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a brief period from August 2005 to December 2005. Mark also worked as a Helitack Senior Firefighter at the Bureau of Land Management from May 2005 to August 2005 and as a Fire Crew Leader at the USDA Forest Service from March 2005 to May 2005.
Mark Masters completed a Certificate in Building Native Owned Business Capacity from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2010. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued Graduate Studies in Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Cameron University. In 2008 to 2009, they engaged in Graduate Studies focused on Fire Management & Forest Ecology at the University of Idaho. Mark'sundergraduate education was completed at Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Ecology.
