Poppy Stanbury

Poppy Stanbury is an experienced professional in advocacy and communications, currently serving as a Steering Committee Member at Share-Net Netherlands since April 2024. As the Advocacy and Communications Coordinator at CHOICE for Youth & Sexuality since January 2019, Poppy leads advocacy efforts at the UN and Human Rights Council, focusing on youth participation, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and LGBTI rights. Previous roles include Gender Policy Consultant at Stichting SPARK, where Poppy developed policies to support Syrian refugee youth, and Client Onboarding Specialist at FareHarbor, where Poppy enhanced client relationships and technological training. Poppy also has experience in international development and has contributed to various youth-focused projects and campaigns throughout a diverse career. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology and Politics from the University of Kent.
