Matt King has a wealth of work experience, beginning with a role as a Recipe Tester at The Culinary Institute of America in 2010. Matt then completed an externship as a Line Cook at the Chautauqua Institution in the same year. In 2011, Matt King worked as a Camp Counselor and Cook at the Warren Family YMCA. In 2012, they started two businesses, M.King BBQ and M.King Catering, where they served as Business Owner and Personal Chef, respectively. In 2015, they joined The J.M. Smucker Co. as an UpStream Innovation Product Development. In 2018, they began working at Simmons Foods as a Senior Food Technologist. In 2019, Matt King joined Conagra Brands as a Senior Food Scientist. Most recently, they have been working at Chomps in two roles: Director of Product Innovation and Senior Manager of Product Innovation.
Matt King has a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from Penn State University and an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from The Culinary Institute of America. Matt also holds a Business Intensive certification from brunchwork, obtained in July 2022, and a HACCP certification.
