Nicolas Florez Torres

Nicolas Florez Torres has worked in various roles since 2014. Nicolas started as a Software Engineer at BeWise in 2014 and then again in 2016 as a Machine Learning Scientist. In 2016, they were also a Software Engineer at Mareigua. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as an Assistant Researcher and Professor Researcher at the University of the Andes and Universidad Externado de Colombia, respectively. Nicolas was also a Scientific Consultant at Brain Support Corporation from 2019 to 2020, and is currently a Biosignal Research Engineer at Muse® by Interaxon Inc.

Nicolas Florez Torres obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Systems and Computer Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in 2015, followed by a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electronics Engineering from the same university in 2015. Nicolas then obtained a Minor in Biomedical engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in 2015. Nicolas then pursued a Master of Science - MS in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in 2019, and is currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering from the same university, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from various institutions such as NVIDIA, World Education Services, EF Standard English Test (EF SET), and Coursera.
