Lies Boelen has an extensive work history in data science, research, and academia. Starting as a PhD student at K.U.Leuven, they conducted research and acted as a teaching assistant. Later roles included Research Assistant at UNSW, Post-doctoral researcher at UNSW focusing on Hepatitis C Virus transmission, and a Research Associate at Imperial College London working on the human immune system. Their most recent positions include Senior Data Scientist at Sandtable, Senior Director Data Science at Choreograph, and Lecturer in Data Science at Nuclio Digital School. Lies Boelen earned a Master's Degree in Mathematics from KU Leuven in 2006 before going on to obtain a PhD in Mathematics from the same institution in 2010.
