James Slawson is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Chorus Community Health Plans since June 2019. With a robust background, James worked as a Family Physician at the Medical College of Wisconsin from August 1992 to December 2022, where James also held the position of Director of the Clinical Division in the Department of Family & Community Medicine. James contributed to the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians as a Board Member and Co-chair of the Value Based Medical Home Committee from April 2012 to December 2021. Additionally, James served as the Medical Director for Children's Community Health Plan from August 2012 to May 2019 and was the Program Director at St Joseph/St Michael Family Medicine Residency Program from July 1999 to June 2006. James holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Michigan.
