Mary Kate Hurlbutt has a diverse work experience. Mary Kate has held several positions since 2009. Mary Kate began their career as an Internet Services Intern at First Republic Bank in 2009. Mary Kate then held the role of Social Media Marketing Intern for both Sari Closet and embodee in 2011. In the same year, they also held the role of Social Media Marketing for Little Black Bag. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Director of Tech Outreach and then a Tech Outreach Associate at First Republic Bank. Finally, since 2019, they have been the Co-Founder & Chief of Experience & Community at Chorus Meditation.

Mary Kate Hurlbutt obtained a B.A. in Mary Kate'story from Stanford University in 2010 and an M.A. in Communication from the same university in 2011.
