Richard Chapman has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades in various technology management roles. Richard started their career as a Systems/Senior Systems Engineer at Concurrent Computer Corporation, where they were responsible for hardware and operating system design, implementation, and technical support for clients in the insurance sector.
Richard then joined CSC-Continuum as an Engineering Manager, leading a team of technical and administration staff in LAN, Unix, and PC Desktop Services. Richard also developed strategic business partnerships with suppliers and maintained relationships with customers.
At Sanderson Computers NZ Ltd., Richard served as the IT Services and eBusiness Manager. Richard led a team of technical specialists, providing technology consultancy, website/intranet development, and support for various platforms and applications. Richard later joined Connect NZ as the General Manager Operations, leading their technology, design, and operational capabilities, as well as PMO and Repair Centre business units. In this role, they were responsible for operational performance, health and safety, and financial contribution for the business units.
Before their current role, Richard worked at IPFX as the Technical Service Delivery Manager on a short-term contract. Richard provided leadership to a team of solution consultants and application support staff while a permanent manager was being appointed.
Currently, they are working at Chorus NZ Limited as the Manager of Service Integration.
