Judith Lacey

Director, Supportive Care & Integrative Oncology at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse

A/Prof Judith Lacey is the head of supportive care and integrative oncology at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. She specialises in the development and integration of supportive care interventions to keep people living well with cancer independent of prognosis or stage of disease.

Over the past 20 years she has worked extensively with cancer patients and people living with incurable illness. Her area of interest is whole person care: integrating care for people and their families living with cancer or chronic illness that affects their physical and emotional well-being.

Judith and her team in the Lifehouse Living Room offer a range of evidence-based supportive care and complementary therapies to keep people living well with cancer. The team works alongside medical specialists, psychologists, nurses and allied health professionals to maximise treatment options for our patients and minimise the symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment.

As a palliative and supportive care specialist Judith has extensive experience in managing cancer pain syndromes, cancer-related fatigue, gastrointestinal and nutritional effects of cancer and toxicity related to treatment. She is very active in research in medicinal cannabis, supportive care and integrative oncology.
