Idris Corap is a seasoned UX and product designer with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior UX/Product Designer at the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand since May 2017, Idris leads design initiatives for government digital services. Prior to this, roles included UX/Product Designer at DNA Design, where user experience was crafted for various clients, and UX Designer at Catch Design, focusing on user experience definition. Earlier experience as a Visual/Interaction Designer at Westpac New Zealand involved managing online and mobile design initiatives, while previous positions included producing websites for the education sector at CWA New Media and running a freelancing firm named retrostrobe*. Idris also has a background in education as a new media educator/consultant and has worked on database-driven web applications in Sweden. Idris holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by a degree in Communication and Media from Komvux Göteborg.
