Lewis Brown is an experienced professional in strategic management and development, currently serving as the National Manager Strategy & Business Development for Literacy & Learning at the National Library of New Zealand since December 2011. Brown has previously held various roles, including Programme Director for the NZ Libraries Partnership Programme and Director of the Office of the National Librarian. Prior experience includes managerial and analytical positions at the National Library of New Zealand, the Ministry of Social Development, and the Department of Labour. Brown began a career at Youthline Wellington as an Education Officer/Coordinator. Educational qualifications include a Grad Dip Comm in Public Management and a First Class Honours BA in Sociology from Victoria University of Wellington, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Canterbury.
