Penny Buckmaster

Penny Buckmaster is an experienced Senior Business Analyst currently serving in the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) since March 2022, focusing on transforming the delivery of trusted identity and life event products through the Te Ara Manaaki initiative. Previous roles include Lead Business Analyst at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand and Workstream Lead at the New Zealand Defence Force. In addition, Penny has held significant positions at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and Kiwibank, contributing to crucial modernization and customer experience projects. Early career experiences include roles at ACC and GlaxoSmithKline, where Penny supported large software implementation projects and data migration efforts. Educational qualifications include an MA in Information Services Management from London Metropolitan University and both MSc and BSc degrees in Biological Sciences from the University of Waikato.
