David Hess has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David started their career in the U.S. Navy as a Jet Engine Mechanic/Plane Captain, where they oversaw multiple teams and provided training. After leaving the military, they worked at SAIC as a System Specialist II and later became a Site Manager, responsible for maintaining and operating a Microsoft NT 4.0 network. David then joined Everest University as an Adjunct Instructor, teaching classes in Microsoft certification and Cisco CCNA. Following that, they worked at Christian Care Ministry, where they held various roles, including Sr. Systems/Network Administrator, IT Operations Manager, Sr. Manager Information Technology Operations, and most recently, the Director of IT Infrastructure Operations. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated proficiency in network administration, system troubleshooting, customer service, and team management.
David Hess has a diverse education history. David first attended Palatine High School from 1977 to 1981 and obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on General Studies. Following this, they enrolled in Tidewater Community College from 1995 to 1997, where they earned an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration.
Continuing their education, David attended Troy State University from 1999 to 2001 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Resources Management. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at the University of Phoenix.
In addition to their formal education, David has also obtained various certifications. These include CompTIA IT Fundamentals (FC0-U61) Cert Prep 1: Computer Basics, Hardware, and Operating Systems from LinkedIn in February 2023, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Cert Prep: 1 Cloud Concepts from LinkedIn in October 2022, Putting ITIL® into Practice: DevOps for ITIL® Practitioners from LinkedIn in April 2021, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Mountain Home Institute in April 2020, Cisco CCENT from Cisco in August 2013, Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance in April 2018, MCP, MCP+I, and MCSE from Microsoft (no further information about the date of achievement is provided).
