Cynthia Alvarez

Cynthia Alvarez has extensive experience in the housing and development industry. Cynthia currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Christian Church Homes, where they oversee the organization's operations. Prior to this role, they worked as the Deputy Director of Portfolio at the Chinatown Community Development Center. Cynthia has also held leadership positions at The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, where they served as the Deputy Executive Director, and at the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, where they were the Chief Portfolio Officer. Earlier in their career, Cynthia worked as the Director of Operations at Charities Housing Development Corporation and as the SVP Acquisitions & Operations at Romel Enterprises, LLC. Cynthia also served as the VP of Operations at Melro Financial Services/ATEL Financial and as the Director of E-Commerce Financial Services at Atel Financial. Cynthia has demonstrated success in financial management, portfolio growth, and operational efficiency in their various roles.

Cynthia Alvarez completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government at UC San Diego in 1994. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD program in Political Science at Stanford University from 1995 to 1999.
