Jim Place Lpc

Jim Place, LPC, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as Clinical Supervisor and Licensed Professional Counselor-Regional Coordinator at Christian Counseling Associates since January 2018. Prior to this role, Jim Place worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from August 2010 to August 2019 as a Therapist, providing psychological services to inmates with mental health issues, and as a Parole Agent supervising a caseload of special needs parolees. Earlier experience includes serving as a Therapist at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections from May 2005 to June 2010, where Jim Place provided individual and group counseling to offenders and was a member of the Hostage Negotiation Team. Jim Place holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Gannon University (1998-2001) and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from Mercyhurst University (1986-1991).
