Scott Segerstrom, CHCIO, has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. From 1999 to 2013, they worked at Advocate Health Care, where they held the position of Director, Advocate Medical Group Information Systems Operations. In this role, they oversaw various aspects of information systems operations, including IS field services, development, telecom, application support, data centers, networking, and EHR. Scott managed complete project life cycles, supervised a staff of 75, and administered a large budget. Scott also served as the Assistant Director of Operations and the EHR System Administrator.

In 2013, Scott joined Christie Clinic as the Director/CIO, Information Systems & Services. In this current position, they are responsible for overseeing all technology operations for the organization. This includes managing data centers, networking, applications, telecom, data governance, health informatics, central records, software support, technical services, and project management. Scott also leads the development and use of the electronic health record system and serves as the main point of contact for department heads and business units. Scott is involved in various projects such as Meaningful Use, MSSP ACO, and quality analytics.

Scott Segerstrom, CHCIO, has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, General from Illinois State University, which they obtained from 1983 to 1985. Prior to that, from 1981 to 1983, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Illinois Valley Community College. In addition to their educational background, Scott Segerstrom holds the certification of Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), which they obtained from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives in August 2020.
