Sean James

EVP, Managed Services at Christie Digital Systems

Sean James is responsible for Christie's global Managed Services division. Prior to this role, Sean led the global professional services (GPS) team, helping support the efforts of Christie’s sales teams as well as our partners and customers around the world. The GPS team is a solutions focused team which supports Christie’s clients with: project architecture, technology and software selection, interactive programming as well as deployment and post-launch support. These services are provided for a variety of applications including professional AV, simulation, visualization, digital signage and many others.

In 2005, he helped to develop and deploy the world’s first scale digital cinema deployment of nearly 4000 screens across the United States. He also led the development of Christie’s first NOC in 2002, its successor in 2009 and additional NOCs in China, Russia and Australia.

Sean joined Christie® in 1997 and was instrumental in developing support programs and relationships with many leading studios in Hollywood as they began transitioning to digital cinema. He successfully won and developed one of the company’s first major service and network operations contracts.

Sean plays a key role in driving Christie’s expansion in the industry. His insights into Christie’s goals and vision have been crucial in enhancing Christie’s reputation as a global leader in digital services and systems integration.
