Katie Gerlach Merrill

Vice President, Senior Counsel at Christie's

Katie Gerlach Merrill has extensive work experience, starting in 2006 at the Museum of Modern Art as a Gift Researcher. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Development Officer at the Museum of Arts and Design. In 2012, Katie interned as a Legal Intern at the International Foundation for Art Research (IFAR). In 2013, they had two internships, one as an Art Law Intern at Christie's and another as a Legal Intern at WNET New York Public Media. In 2014, they worked as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Marcy L. Kahn, Supreme Court, New York County, and also began their role as an Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, which lasted until 2017. Returning to Christie's in 2019, Katie held several roles, including Associate Vice President, Corporate Counsel and Vice President, Corporate Counsel. Currently, they serve as the Vice President, Senior Counsel at Christie's.

Katie Gerlach Merrill holds a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law. Katie Gerlach also completed their undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where they earned a B.S.B.A. degree with a focus on Finance and Art History.
