Megan E. A. Murphy has a diverse work experience in the art industry. Megan E. A. started their career at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as an intern in the Collections Management and Information Department and Registrar's Department in 2006. Megan E. A. then interned at Christie's in the 20th Century Decorative Art and Design Department in 2007.
In 2008, Megan worked as an Administrative Assistant in Operations at the Skirball Cultural Center. Megan E. A. then joined Tufts University as a Graduate Curatorial Research Assistant in 2009 and later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Art History Department from 2010 to 2011.
Megan then transitioned to Bonhams in 2011, starting as a Business Manager in the Modern, Contemporary, and Latin American Art Departments. Megan E. A. then took on roles as a Junior Specialist/Cataloguer in the Modern and Contemporary Art Departments, an Associate Specialist in the Contemporary Art Department, and ultimately as the Specialist/Head of Sale for Post-War & Contemporary Art.
Currently, Megan is working at Christie's since 2018. Megan E. A. started as a Client Strategy Manager and Associate Vice President for the Americas, and later progressed to their current role as Client Strategy Director and Vice President for the same region.
Megan E. A. Murphy completed their undergraduate education at UCLA from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Italian. Megan E. A. then pursued further education at Tufts University from 2009 to 2011, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Art History.
