Sayuri Ganepola has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sayuri started their career in 2001 as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where they managed significant assets and generated substantial revenue. Sayuri then worked at S&P Global Ratings as a Summer Associate and at Lehman Brothers as a Senior Associate in Debt Capital Markets. In 2009, they served as an Investor Relations and Business Development Consultant at Patch.com. Sayuri joined Christie's in 2012 and held various roles, including Vice President of Business Development and Managing Director of Christie's Art Finance. Sayuri played a key role in cost management, financial planning, and strategic performance reviews. In 2019, they became a Member at Chief, and in 2020, they took on the position of Co Chairman of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at Christie's Americas. Currently, they are the Global Managing Director at Christie's Art Finance.
Sayuri Ganepola obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania from 1996 to 2000. Sayuri then pursued an MBA, specializing in Finance and General Management, at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2003 to 2005. In 2010 and 2011, they attended Christie's Education, where they earned an MA in the History of Art and the Art Market, specifically focusing on Modern and Contemporary art. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school education at The Brearley School, obtaining a diploma in 1996.
