William Meyer

William Meyer is currently a Summer Researcher in the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, focusing on the effects of chronic lateral hypothalamus glutamatergic neuron activity on food consumption under the guidance of Dr. Mark Rossi and Dr. Yi Lu. Additionally, at Christopher Newport University, William serves as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager in the Neuroscience Program and Department of Psychology, investigating contextual generalization in eyeblink conditioning in rats, while also providing scientific writing feedback as a Writing Associate and mentoring first-semester students. William gained prior research experience as a Summer Researcher in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Christopher Newport University, expected to graduate in May 2026.
