Barry Akbar

Barry Akbar serves as the President Director and Country Manager for Indonesia at C.H. Robinson since December 2020. With a robust background in logistics and business development, Barry previously held the role of Managing Director at Asianics from May 2019 to November 2020. A seasoned professional, Barry’s extensive career at APL Logistics spanned over seven years and included various leadership positions such as President Director and Senior Director for Asia Pacific Commercial Retail. Early experiences include managing director roles at APLL in Vietnam and Australia, and marketing management at Hammans International and Air France. Barry's educational qualifications comprise an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull and a Research Doctorate from the University of Sydney, among other credentials in supply chain management and project management from prestigious institutions.
