Tobias is Vice President of Intellectual Property at Chroma Medicine. Previously, he served as the Head of Intellectual Property at Vor Biopharma, where he played a pivotal role in directing the company’s IP strategy, handling contested IP matters, and developing the company’s intellectual property footprint. Prior to Vor, he led IP teams at Editas Medicine and Epizyme, managing complex patent portfolios and charting viable FTO paths for clinical leads in highly competitive fields. Before his career as an in-house attorney, Tobias worked as an IP associate at Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks in Boston. Originally trained as a molecular biologist, Tobias holds a doctorate degree in Biology from the University of Wuerzburg in Germany, and he completed his postdoctoral training in Rudolf Jaenisch’s laboratory at the Whitehead Institute in Cambridge. He also holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
