Kasper Peulen has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and IT consulting. Kasper started their career as an OSS engineer at various open-source projects, including dart-lang/dart-pad and kasperpeulen/CoffeeTeX, where they gained expertise in Dart, JavaScript, regex, and jQuery. Kasper also worked on the iOS port of their own game "Euclid: The Game," acquiring knowledge of Objective-C.
In 2016, Kasper joined SOWISO as a full stack engineer, contributing to the improvement of their web application for constructing online math courses. Kasper also served as the lead author for the Basic Math Course and worked on developing a formula editor. Additionally, they collaborated with Prof. Arjeh Cohen on mathematical courses such as Calculus and Differential Equations.
Moving forward, Kasper joined bol.com in 2019 as a frontend engineer, leading a migration project to migrate a multi-page checkout form to a single-page React/Redux/Redux-saga application. Kasper played a key role in migrating the codebase to TypeScript.
Kasper's next position was at C-Facts - Cloud Cost Management in 2021, where they worked as a frontend engineer. Here, they developed a Kibana-like dashboard for cloud invoices, introducing technologies such as Storybook, OpenApi Generator, Zod for form validation, and Context for state management.
In 2021, they also provided consultancy services to Sprinque, assisting them with NPM/React and Typescript. Kasper helped them publish their JavaScript SDK on NPM and implemented the use of OpenAPI Generator to generate TypeScript interfaces and an API client library.
In 2022, Kasper joined ING Nederland as a frontend engineer and later joined SOWISO as an IT consultant. Currently, they are a software engineer at Chromatic, where they continue to contribute their skills and expertise.
Kasper Peulen has a diverse education history. Kasper attended Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht from 2002-2008, where they completed their high school education. After graduating from high school, they enrolled at the University of Groningen in 2009 to pursue a degree in Biomedical Sciences, General. Kasper studied at the University of Groningen for a year before transferring to the University of Amsterdam in 2010. At the University of Amsterdam, Kasper focused on studying Physics from 2010-2011. However, they switched their field of study and completed their undergraduate education in Mathematics at the University of Amsterdam from 2011-2016.
