Precision medicine is the future of healthcare and whole genome sequencing (WGS) provides invaluable insight into predicting drug/treatment responses,  improving diagnostics, and developing novel therapies .

However, currently available WGS information has been primarily sourced from individuals of European descent leading to a severe lack of diversity and representation. Likewise, access to WGS is difficult due to the cost, lack of genetic literacy, and lack of guidance from providers.

Thus Chromotome seeks to build access to WGS to marginalized communities by developing a genetic network marketplace that allows for the flow of relevant genetic information between users, non-profit advocacy organizations, and pharmaceutical companies. Chromotome excels by bringing together a diverse, knowledgeable team ready to engage communities on the importance of WGS and the valuable information that it can provide.
