Founding Staff Engineer at Chronograph

Howard Watts has a long history of software engineering experience. In 2012, they began as a Programming Intern at McDonogh School, where they developed an online billing system for the school's Business Office. In 2014, they were promoted to Assistant Systems Administrator, leading project teams in establishing efficient software solutions and moving the entire Application and Admissions process to an online and paperless system. In 2015, Watts moved to EJournal Press as a Programming Intern, where they migrated over 75 intricate Perl subprograms to a new, more configurable system. In 2016, Watts joined StructuredWeb as a Software Engineer, where they developed features for high profile clients such as Intel and Amazon in .NET, C#, and ColdFusion. Howard also led an overhaul of the codebase to prepare for a security audit, making over 26,000 individual improvements across 2,134 files over a 2 month period in order to prevent XSS, CSRF, and SQL Injection attacks. In 2017, Watts joined Chronograph as a Lead Software Engineer and Founding Team Member.

Howard Watts attended the McDonogh School, followed by the University of Maryland from 2012 to 2016, and then the Flatiron School in 2016 for Computer Programming.
