Daniel Elías Martín Herranz has a varied work experience in the field of biology and biotechnology. Daniel Elías is a Co-Founder and CSO at Hurdle since December 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD Student at EMBL-EBI from October 2015 to April 2019, where they focused on studying the epigenetic ageing clock in humans and developed a computational method to reduce sequencing costs. Daniel also worked as a Research Intern at the University of Cambridge in May 2015 and as a Research Intern at the Instituto de Biología Funcional y Genómica from November 2012 to June 2014. Additionally, they have worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at Innovagenomics in June to September 2013 and as a Research Intern at NUI Maynooth in July to September 2012. Daniel's work experience demonstrates their expertise in various research areas within the field of biology.

Daniel Elías Martín Herranz has a strong educational background in biological sciences and computational biology. Daniel Elías obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biological Sciences, specializing in the epigenetics of aging, from the University of Cambridge from 2015 to 2019. Before that, they completed a Master's Degree in Computational Biology at the same institution in 2015. Daniel Elías'sundergraduate studies include a BSc Hons in Biotechnology with a focus on genomics and bioinformatics at the Universidad de Salamanca, which they completed from 2009 to 2014. As part of an Erasmus Project, they also studied biotechnology at Maynooth University from 2011 to 2012.
