Merel Steenbergen

Merel Steenbergen is a seasoned researcher in plant sciences, currently holding the position of Researcher for cut flowers and pot plants at Chrysal International BV since May 2019. Prior experience includes a PhD role focused on plant-microbe interactions at Universiteit Utrecht from February 2014 to August 2018, and various research and assistant roles that highlight expertise in plant biology. Notable positions include work as a Research Assistant and participation in the EPS MSc talent program, as well as internships at the University of Lausanne and Universiteit Utrecht. Merel Steenbergen holds a Master of Science in Environmental Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both from Utrecht University.
