Dirk Treasure has extensive work experience in the mining and metallurgical industry. Dirk currently serves as the Managing Director and CEO of Chrysos Corporation since December 2016. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive at RFC Ambrian Limited from June 2016 to May 2017. Dirk also held the position of Industry Manager - Base Metals at AME Group - Mining and Metals, where they were responsible for engineering and financial modeling, production analysis, and client liaison from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Metallurgist at First Quantum Minerals LTD, focusing on plant optimization and project engineering. Dirk also served as the Operations Manager/Senior Metallurgist at ABR Process Development and as a Project Technologist at Metallica Minerals and Metals Finance Australia. In these roles, they handled various responsibilities such as project management, process development, data analysis, and operation of piloting facilities.
Dirk Treasure pursued their education starting in 2008 when they enrolled at Murdoch University. Over a period of four years, from 2008 to 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with a focus on Mineral Science. Following this, in 2014, Dirk joined the University of Sydney to further advance their knowledge. Dirk completed a Masters of Commerce degree specializing in Quantitative Finance & Quantitative Business Analysis in 2017.
