Lucia Musumeci

Lucia Musumeci is a Senior Scientist at CHU de Liège since January 2021, with a rich background in molecular medicine and biochemistry. Previously, Lucia served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Liège from January 2009 to January 2015 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sydney from April 2006 to December 2008. Early research experience includes a PhD student role at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute from October 2001 to December 2005 and work as a Research Scientist at the University of Central Florida from September 2000 to September 2001. Lucia's academic journey began as a Master Student at the University of Naples Federico II from January 1999 to July 2000, and educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Medicine from Sapienza Università di Roma (2002-2005), a Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (1998-2000), and a Bachelor's in Chemistry from the same institution (1994-1997).
